The Martin Luther King Jr. Teen Center is located at 300 S. 13th Avenue. This recreation facility offers a wide variety of activities for teens, grades 7th thru 12th. Billiards, video games, foosball, table tennis, and much more. To become a member, a yearly registration fee of $6.00 for resident or $10.00 for non-resident is required and a parent or guardian must sign a permission form to attend. Hours of operation are Monday thru Friday, 3:00 pm – 8:00 pm, and Saturday from 1:00 pm – 9:00 pm. For more information, call The MLK Teen Center at (928) 329-7480.

Tuff Teen Work-Outs
Tuesdays, June 10-August 12, from 4:00 pm –7:00 pm.
For MLK members. Workouts will be held at the Yuma Readiness Center exercise room. Transportation is available for the first 12 to sign up. Meet at the MLK Teen Center, 300 S. 13th Ave. Proper exercise attire is required. No open toe shoes.

Crusin’ Y-Town
Wednesdays, June 11-August 13 from 6:00 pm – 8:00 pm.
For MLK members. Not sure what Yuma has going on around town? Come with us, were takin’ a cruise all over to find out. From the mall to the parks, we will have fun hanging out and cruisin’ Yuma. These trips have limited space and only available for the first 12 to register.

Teen Swim Nights
Fee: $1.00 per person Thursdays, June 12-August 14 Ages 13-18, 8:00 pm – 10:00 pm Kennedy Pool, 24th Street & Kennedy Lane

Henna Tattooing
Fee: $3.00 per person Friday, June 27 from 3:00 pm – 6:00 pm MLK Teen Center. Have you always wanted to try your hand at body art? Come and try this washable art on your hands, arms, or legs. Stencils will be provided, if needed. Ink may last up to 2 weeks on skin. (Parental approval required.)

Rock Band Competition
Fee: $3.00 per person Friday, July 11 from 5:00 pm – 9:00 pm MLK Teen Center. Hey all you Rocker wannabe’s, get your friends together and try your skills at MLK 1st “Rock Band” competition. Bands must pre-register for this event. Winning band will receive a trophy and gift card to Game Stop. Let’s just see who has the best band in the land.

Last Chance Summer Blast
Fee: $5.00 per person Friday, August 15 from 7:00 pm – 10:00 pm MLK Teen Center. This is your last chance for fun before it’s time to go back to school. Come have some pizza and participate in activities such as: “Monster Basketball”, “Sumo Wresting”, and a Super Smash Brothers Brawl WII competition on the big screen.

Teen Volunteer Program
This on-going program promotes various volunteer opportunities just for teens. If you are looking to help your community or to improve your college resume, contact (928) 373-5200 for more information. Event days and times will vary.

Basketball League
$22 per person June 9-July 24, 6:30 pm – 10:30 pm Yuma Civic Center, 1440 Desert Hills Dr Age divisions: separate boys/girls divisions, 13-15 and 18 and under. Games will be played Monday thru Thursday evenings. Registration opens May 5 and closes May 29.

Tryouts: Joe Henry Optimist Center, 1793 S. 1st Avenue, May 28 and 29, 6:30 pm – 7:30 pm. Tryouts are required for all new participants and players advancing divisions. All registered participants will be placed on teams.
