Day Trippin’
$36 per day; Ages 6-12
Let’s go on an adventure to San Diego! Participants must fill out necessary paperwork/medical releases before registration, available at the Parks and Recreation office.

Friday, July 18, 7:00 am – 7:00 pm

Explore the Children’s Science Museum and also watch an IMAX movie on the giant screen. Balboa Park offers plenty to see and do. Please bring a sack lunch, water, and snacks for an outdoor picnic.

Beginning Kayak Class
*pre-registration is required $29; $21 with City resident credit Saturday, June 21, 8:00 am – 2:00 pm Ages: 11-adult Kennedy Pool, 24th St & Kennedy Ln

This class will introduce participants to the fun exciting world of kayaking while learning the fundamental skill of safe paddling. This one-day class will meet at Kennedy Pool where we will practice water safety skills in a controlled environment and then we will proceed to a short paddle around local waterways.

Enrolled participants should be comfortable with swimming in deep and open water.

Bring plenty of food, water, and sun/insect protection for an entire day on the water.

Free, all ages welcome! Tuesdays & Thursdays, June 17-July 31

Meet at West Wetlands Park (Ramada #34) at 6:30 am.

Make new friends and get healthy as you walk thru the beautiful West Wetlands Park.

Bring plenty of water, sunscreen, and wear comfortable shoes.

Approximately two miles.

Each participant will receive a free pedometer and water bottle.
